- Educate yourself! Learn the science behind how the brain works, how hormones affects our mind and body, what nutrition we really need to function properly, how different habits affect our mind and body, what are the ramifications and side affects of your current lifestyle and how sleep can help your confidence...dig deeper into fad diets and weight loss regimes, fashion trends, skin care products and cosmetic surgery. BE AN INFORMED CONSUMER.
- Engage in activities that make you feel strong, not just look a certain way. Find ways to move that bring you joy and make you feel strong.
- Create your community. Surround yourself with supportive friends and role models.
- Dress for yourself.
- Practice physical postures that have been scientifically proven to raise self confidence! DO YOGA!! And if you don't have time to do yoga, start with simply taking a deep breath & rolling your shoulders back. Then add making eye contact with others and smiling.
- Be mindful and aware of your thoughts and behaviors. Ask Why? you say what you say and do what you do until you start to understand yourself better.
- Celebrate your uniqueness. Like being you. Own your awesome. Feeling handsome or beautiful has nothing to do with how you look...it has everything to do with the confidence you feel and radiate.
You are incredible.
It can be really hard practicing confidence. Be patient. Don't be surprised if loneliness is part of you journey as you find the right friends and the right space that will help you stay in your power and feel self confident.
